When Swiffer was introduced into the market place, I was intrigued. I had been using a feather duster as my main dusting tool in the cleaning business, but it wasn’t perfect. So when I found them in the cleaning aisle of Target, I quickly grabbed my starter kit.
It was love at first use.
Shortly later they introduced the Swiffer Extender Pole and well, I was hooked.
I’m a self-confessed Swiffer addict. When I do have to venture out and clean with the team, if someone leaves the Swiffer behind in a house, I’m not happy. Without it, it makes dusting and cleaning harder than it has to be.
In a nut shell, Swiffer makes dusting and cleaning easy breezy.
5 Ways To Use Your Swiffer When You Vacuum
1. Corners of the Floor
We use upright vacuums and sometimes you can’t catch debris that ‘s stuck in the corner of the floor. Use the Swiffer Extender Pole to push the debris out in front of the vacuum to make it accessible to picking it up with the vacuum.
2. Between the Wall/Cabinet and Fridge or Stove
Often time crumbs and debris get stuck between the wall or cabinet and your refrigerator and/or stove. Grab that Swiffer Extender Pole and sweep it out to the main floor so you can easily vacuum or sweep it up.
3. Under Cabinets
If your vacuum doesn’t fit under your cabinet and you don’t want to change the attachment to get the crumbs, use the Swiffer Extender Pole to sweep it out so you can easily vacuum it up.
4. Unmovable Furniture Against a Wall
It’s nearly impossible to vacuum behind big heavy furniture. When dust accumulates behind unmovable furniture, use your Swiffer Extender Pole to get all that dust out.
5. Carpet Stairs
We use the regular Swiffer for two tasks. For stairs that have wood showing on the side of the stairs, we dust the wood with the Swiffer.
Second, when lint, crumbs and other stuff gets stuck in the seam of the carpet, where the carpet has been stapled to the wood underneath, use your Swiffer to move it out of the crevices on to the carpet and then vacuum it up.
No one wants to spend all day cleaning and worse yet, you don’t want to be changing vacuum attachment tools if you don’t have to.
Using your Swiffer dusting tool eliminates time-wasting steps so you can finish up fast.
We’re always looking for new ways to use our Swiffer duster tools. If you’ve got a great suggestion, we’d love to hear it!
