More often than not we let the demands of our life dictate how much fun we have, rest we get, quiet we deserve. We just keep going, going, going with little thought to the damage it’s doing to our body and soul.
I’ve been guilty of this all too many times in my life. And with the stress of caring for my mother over the last six years, I can often tell I’m getting worse at self-care instead of better.
Just realizing this has helped me to make some significant shifts in my time. For example, instead of trying to cram in work during the days I watch my grandson Lucas, I make sure all my work is up to date so when I have him, I can devote my entire time to him. I’m two weeks into this practice, and I can tell you it’s making a difference.
So friends, this Sunday, what are you willing to do to nourish your soul?
Maybe a walk in the woods shooting some fantastic signs of spring? Or, some family time playing a game or snuggling on the couch watching a movie? Maybe taking time for yoga and meditation?
No matter what you chose, as long as it fills your soul and rejuvenates you, do it!
Here’re a few reads I found around the web to inspire you! Enjoy
