Your bathroom needs to be cleaned often, more than any other room in the house. It gets lots of traffic and lots of opportunity to spread germs. Just wiping down the counters or toilet with a Clorox wipe won’t cut it but it doesn’t need a big scrub down either.
Unlike other rooms in your home where you can just make the bed and tidy up a bit, your bathroom can’t be cleaned in this manner. It requires more than a quick pick up and an emptying of the trash.
This quick 10-minute bathroom clean up is all you need to keep your bathroom sparkling clean and on the days where it needs a little clean me up but not a deep and thorough cleaning. If you start using this method after you’ve deep cleaned your bathroom, it will easily stay clean, and you won’t be spending hours upon hours scrubbing.

How To Clean Your Bathroom in Just 10 Minutes
1. Grab Your Cleaning Bucket
If you don’t have a cleaning bucket, creating one will cut down on the amount of time it takes to get your home clean.
You can read my article on creating your cleaning bucket, but if you don’t have one, stop and put one together. Having your supplies at your fingertips cuts down on wasted time and effort. Instead of searching all over the house for supplies and products, everything is in one place. You just grab your bucket and go!
2. Prep Your Areas
Grab your bathroom cleaner of choice and spray the sink, vanity, shower and tub with your all purpose spray and let sit.

3. Clean The Mirror
Spray glass cleaner onto the mirror and starting at the top corner wipe the glass in a circular motion. Wipe completely dry to prevent streaks. Give your light fixtures a quick wipe to keep them from collecting dust.
4. Wipe Handles
Give your toilet paper holder, and towel racks a quick swipe of the cloth that has been sprayed with a bit of glass cleaner.
5. Tackle the Toilet
Use your favorite toilet bowl cleaner or disposable toilet cleaning brush system and give the toilet a thorough scrub, and then flush. Spray a microfiber cloth with all-purpose bathroom cleaner and wipe down the outside of the toilet and tank all the way to the bottom. Don’t skip this step. The outside of your tank can get pretty nasty if you continually ignore this area, particularly if you have boys/men in your home.

6. Tackle the Sink
A small toothbrush is the perfect cleaning tool to tackle those hard to reach spots around the fixtures. Grab your brush and scrub that area completely. Use a sponge to clean any stuck on toothpaste or soap scum from the vanity and bowl. Working back to front, start in one corner and move horizontally wiping the counter and vanity. End by drying and shining fixtures and handles.
7. Move to the Tub/Shower
If you’re doing this regularly there’s no reason to scrub the tub and shower. Just give them a quick wipe with a dampened cloth and pull the curtain shut! You might be able to even spray a cleaner like Kaboom, let it sit and rinse. No scrubbing or wiping at all. This will all depend on how often you quick clean.

8. Finish with the Floor
Do a quick sweep to get the hair off the floor or use a Swiffer sweeper vac or Swiffer microfiber floor cloths to pick up hair and other debris. Don’t mop without removing the hair first or you’ll have a mess. Once dried, use a dampened, microfiber mop to clean the floor. Start at the farthest corner and mop your way out of the room ending at the doorway.
Done!
In 10 minutes your bathroom has been quickly cleaned and is presentable for company.
