12 Fun Family Christmas Eve Traditions
When I was growing up my mother would read us “The Night Before Christmas” and my father would take pictures. After the annual reading, we would all enjoy hot coco and would hang a few last minute ornaments on the tree before setting out the cookies for Santa.
I remember those years fondly. They make me long to have my parents back with me.
Traditions are what give us the memories we hold in our heart. They provide the foundation for many of the meaningful and joyful experiences we share.
Arabah Joy shares 12 traditions you can embrace and call your own. I loved some of these ideas so much, I think I’ll introduce a few of them to my family.
I hope you find a few you’ll like – I’m sure you will.

I’m a professional cleaner with over 13 years of hands-on experience cleaning homes, a published writer, certified money specialist, and the founder of A Mess Free Life. After paying off over $50,000 in debt, I dedicated myself to helping others master their homes and their money — proving that a clean, organized, stress-free life is possible no matter where you’re starting from. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me cooking, playing bocce, sipping an extra dirty martini, or enjoying the ocean with my cats nearby. I’m also a proud mom and grandma who cares deeply for my mother at home.
