I don’t know about you, but I have tubes and tubes of lip balm all around my home and office. I’ve got four tubes in my night stand, two in my desk drawer and two in the car; not to mention the three tubes in my pocket-book.
I didn’t buy them all but rather got most of them in a variety of goodie bags at several local women’s events. Good goodie bag idea, but who needs 11 tubes?

For some of these uses, you’ll want to make sure you use the unflavored, uncolored variety.
Prevent Windburn
If you’re a ski buff and hate wearing a ski mask, try rubbing your face with lip balm before you hit the slopes. The balm will protect your skin from windburn.
Cuticle Cream Substitute
Feel a hangnail coming on? Before it does, try rubbing lip balm into your cuticle. It will soften them and prevent nasty hang nails.
Remove A Stuck Ring
Ring too tight? No need to yank or pull. Coat the finger with lip balm then gently wriggle the ring loose.

Rub some lip balm on the teeth of a sticky or stuck zipper. The lip balm will act as a lubricant to make the zipper work more smoothly.

Rub nails and screws with lip balm before drilling or hammering them into the wood; it will prevent the wood from splitting and will make them slide easier.
